- Is there internet/Wifi facilities?
Yes, however wifi signal does not cover every property so you may need to go outside to access it. There is a good mobile phone signal on site.
- What is the easiest way to travel to the property?
You can drive from the north coast of France which will take approximately 6-8 hours, or from Calais which will take about 10 hours. You can fly from Stanstead, Bristol or Southampton to Bergerac (50 minutes from the properties) or to Bordeaux (1 hour 15 minutes to the properties). For more information on travelling, please see the “Getting Here“ section of this site.
- Are the pools shared?
No. Each property has its own private swimming pool.
- Do we need to bring our own towels or bed linen?
No. Fresh bed linen and towels are provided. All duvets and pillows have a feather filling, so if any guest has an allergy to feather-filled bedding, please let us know when making your booking.
- What is the temperature like in the Dordogne?
The graph below shows the comparison of the yearly average temperatures for each month between the Dordogne and London. The average summer temperature is 26oc, but in even in April and September, the temperature can reach 30oc. Winters can be magical, with a deep frost penertrating everything as far as the eye can see, covering the landscape in a white carpet and making that log fire in the farmhouse even more welcoming!
- What accommodation facilities are there for very small children?
If your party contains small children, there is a cot and a high chair available. Some toys are also provided. All the pools are alarmed.
- Which day is the change-over day?
Change-overs are always on a Saturday for Les Granges and the La Maison Bijou Cottage and Thursdays for Les Bigoussies unless specially arranged with us beforehand.
- What are the check in and out times?
On your arrival day you can have access anytime after 4pm. You will need to vacate the property by 10am on the morning of your leaving date. This is important as time is required for change-over before the arrival of the next guests.
- How far is it to the nearest town, supermarket, bank, garage?
The nearest town is Riberac and is approximately 3km away. Riberac has two supermarkets (both sell fuel), many banks (which take UK debit and credit cards in their hole-in-the-wall machines, dispensing Euros) and plenty of smaller shops.
