Gites for rent in Dordogne | Travel Information |
Riberac
We offer gite holidays in the Dordogne region of France. Our holiday gites are modern & well equipped.

The properties on gite-holiday.co.uk are managed by English speaking owners and have been fitted to the highest standard with all mod cons to hand. Each has its own private, saltwater-system swimming pool and feature BBQ areas for those wine sipping, cheese nibbling evenings in the warm summer. And to give you an idea of what to expect before you arrive, we've included as many pictures of Les Bigoussies (sleeps 2-10), La Maison Bijou (sleeps 2-6) and Les Granges (sleeps 2-10) as possible, plus a photo gallery of the local area.

On this web site you will find information on three properties; Les Bigoussies, La Maison Bijou & Les Granges. They are situated in a small, quiet hamlet near St. Meard de Dronne, 3km from the market town of Riberac on the River Dronne in the Perigord/Dordogne region.

The location is ideal for vacations; 7 hours by road from the ports of Roscoff & Cherbourg and within easy reach of Bergerac, Bordeaux and Limoges Airports (see "Getting There" for travel information).

Riberac, considered by many to be the gastronomic capital of the Dordogne, is the perfect base for exploring the region; vineyards are in abundance in the Bergerac region and the mediaeval town of St Emillion is 40 minutes away by road, perfect for wine connoisseurs. The average temperature in the summer is 26oc, but daily temperatures regularly exceed 30o in high summer. For more temperature information and frequently asked questions and answers, see the "FAQ" page.

For the family, Riberac has plenty to offer, including river swimming, canoeing, horse riding, cycling and walking. See our "Out & About" section for a list of things to do during your visit.

We hope you will find all the information you're looking for on the web site, but should you have any questions or wish to check availability, please do not hesitate to "Contact us"!
